It’s Trustees Week and we want to thank all our wonderful trustees for giving their time, energy and expertise to Kyra as volunteers on our Board. This week we’ll be hearing from some of our trustees why they do this:

Lisa says: “Having witnessed first-hand, the positive life changing impact on women and the improvements in their quality of life as a direct result of support that charities such as Kyra have provided, I wanted to ensure that Kyra thrives and it’s a privilege to be a trustee”.

Victoria says: “I joined Kyra as a trustee, to bolster Kyra’s Board in providing support for all women.  I have learned so much from our volunteers, how they support our members, giving the women back their power, supporting them to be the best people they can be. Kyra is unique in its ethos, and values to give everyone a chance, support and watch them grow. I could not be prouder to be one of Kyra’s Trustees.”

Nicola says: “Meeting volunteers at the yearly Visioning Day was amazing and helped me understand the work these dedicated women achieve because they care about supporting women becoming the woman they want to be.”

Helen says: “Being a newly appointed Trustee I still have a lot to learn about the vital work Kyra does to support women across York. However, the passion and commitment of the staff and volunteers at Kyra that I have witnessed so far is truly inspiring, and my ambition as a Trustee is to do justice to the work of the charity and to help support its future.”

Thank you to all of our brilliant trustees for #DoingItForKyra!
