Kyra’s art and craft group members enjoyed three fantastic workshops at York Art Gallery this month. Claudia Ovando, the art group leader, said:

“We were invited by the York Art Gallery to be part of a Bloomsbury workshop. Two wonderful artists, Sara Yates and Lydia Caprani, encouraged and guided our members to try and produce some decorative objects in the style of the Omega Workshop. They designed and painted tiles for a big fireplace and painted plates, boxes and fans. The members really enjoyed taking part of this amazing project.”

Thanks to York Art Gallery for arranging this – and the group is very much looking forward to going back in January for another workshop.
