Hunters estate agency in Haxby, York, has donated £250 to Kyra Women’s Project to support our work with women in the area. Samantha Dunlop from Hunters presented the giant cheque to Jenny Caradonna at Kyra last week. Sam had learned about Kyra from a friend who volunteers for the charity and who told her about the various courses and activities provided to help women make positive changes in their lives.
Kyra CEO Rosemary Cook says: “This was a wonderful surprise and we are so pleased to have this donation. Hunters believes in ‘giving back’ to the local community and this was a great example of that. We are still struggling to return to pre-Covid levels of fundraising, so this is a fantastic boost to us at a time when we have huge demand for our services, which are all provided free to members.’
