Kyra had a very successful shopping day recently when CEO Rosemary Cook popped into the Tesco Extra store at Askham Bar to collect a giant cheque! Thanks to Tesco shoppers who voted with their tokens, the superstore has donated £500 from its Community Grants fund to Kyra to spend on our cookery sessions with members.

Led by experienced chef Sally Duncan, the sessions help members choose healthy, low cost ingredients and make delicious meals at minimal cost. Once created and demonstrated, the group shares the lunch together, benefitting from the social interaction as well as the wonderful meal.
