Kyra will be undertaking a major drama project this year, thanks to a Golden Award from The Rank Foundation. These awards celebrate the life of the founder, Lord Rank, and the 50 years of giving in his name. Kyra’s Golden Award will fund a project called The Stories You Want To Tell – allowing members to share their experiences and the journey of positive change they have made in their lives.

Kyra CEO said: “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to collaborate with two local theatre companies – Thunk It Theatre and York Theatre Royal – to enable our members to develop, write and create a filmed performance reflecting their experiences. As well as acting and performing, there will be roles for those who would rather write, paint, stage manage or support the performance in other ways. This will be a wonderful illustration of the difference we can help women make in their lives.”

More detail on the plans, how members can get involved and how anyone can come to support the premiere of the film, will be released over coming weeks.
