International Women’s Day 2025

Kyra Women’s Project’s International Women’s Day event will take place on Friday, 7th March 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm at the Central Methodist Church, St Saviourgate, York. With the theme “Moving forward, looking forward,” the event celebrates resilience, progress, and community connections.

It brings together a diverse range of local organizations and charities dedicated to empowering women and supporting their wellbeing. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore stalls hosted by partners including health, mental health, and advocacy groups, as well as organizations offering practical support and advice.

The day is designed to foster dialogue, share resources, and build networks, creating a safe and inspiring space for community engagement. In addition to stalls, the event will feature inspirational speakers, including local political figures, who will address critical issues such as domestic abuse, mental health, and gender equality. This celebration not only honors the achievements of women but also highlights ongoing efforts to ensure a brighter, more inclusive future for all in York.

We are proud to be part of York International Women’s Week 2025, 3rd-9th March. Check out the full programme of over 40 events on www.yorkwomen.org.uk
