Kyra’s courtyard garden herb bed has been given a boost by a kind donation from Deans Garden Centre in York. Deans sent Kyra a voucher which was used to purchase three new herbs – rosemary, thyme and sage – now planted and thriving. Looked after by Kyra members and volunteers, the courtyard garden is not only an oasis of calm and quietness for Kyra members and other users, it also provides a useful extra space for meetings during the summer months. Herbs and other plants with medicinal and culinary uses make up the majority of the planting, in line with Kyra’s focus on health and wellbeing.
