Kyra CEO Rosemary Cook was at the opening of the refurbished Guildhall this week to collect a certificate of thanks from the Lord Mayor of York for Kyra’s work during the pandemic. This was part of the City of York’s ‘Big Thanks’ initiative, recognising the efforts of many local charities who continued to support the people of York throughout the Covid 19 pandemic.

Rosemary said: “This is a fantastic recognition of the amazing work of our volunteers and staff during the last two difficult years. It was a privilege to be part of this event in such a fantastic venue, and to meet so many other representatives of York charities, some familiar and some new. We were all humbled to be recognised in this way by the City.”
