Kyra is looking for more business partners in York to become Workplace Ambassador organisations and signpost colleagues, customers and clients to the range of activities and services on offer at their centre in the heart of the city. You can see a video about the scheme here. The Ambassador programme builds on the success of a previous project, ‘Supporting Women in Rural Locations’ (SWIRL) which embedded volunteer ambassadors in the rural areas on the outskirts of the City to signpost women into Kyra.
CEO Rosemary Cook says “We are very excited to be launching our Ambassador programme. We understand the strain it can place on a business when staff, customers or clients are facing life changing situations and they don’t know where to go for help and support. By teaming up with businesses in York we hope to make things better for everyone, it’s a win:win!”
The project is funded by the National Lottery Awards for All and the official launch event takes place at the charity’s premises on 26 September, when certificates will be presented to the first few businesses signed up to the scheme.
If you’re a business that wants to find out more or attend the launch, contact the project via ambassadors@kyra.org.uk or call 01904 632332
