Kyra Women’s Project has a new kitchen, thanks to the generosity of the Feoffees of St Michael’s Spurriergate and Persimmon Housing. With their help, and a great discount from B&Q, we’ve been able to replace a 30 year old kitchen with a new one that has much more storage space, better surfaces to maintain hygiene, and a fully working cooker! We are hugely grateful to fitters Gary and Jennie from North Yorkshire Home Improvements, who gave their time absolutely free to install the kitchen.
With 200 women a week coming through our doors, this will really help us look after them well – and cookery classes will re-start very soon!
