2023 marks the start of Kyra’s 10th anniversary year! The special anniversary logo above was chosen by members and volunteers after an internal competition to create a logo for the year gave us 7 different designs to choose from. It will appear on all our anniversary materials.

Founded in 2013 by Yvonne Copley MBE and a group of volunteers, Kyra has gone from strength to strength and now has between 150 – 200 women a week attending sessions or activities in its city centre premises. We help women make positive changes in their lives and these are some of the things they say about Kyra:

“Kyra feels like it has been a lifeline for me. I am at the start of my journey and people from Kyra have been so helpful, I feel with their help and support, I can achieve my goals.”

“Before Kyra I had been housebound, I had no self-confidence I felt like a struggled with communication. I now am no longer housebound … they have helped me myself but also helped myself and my boys as a unit.”

“Kyra is a network and a connection with people that I wouldn’t have otherwise. There is no judgement.”

Look out for a whole series of special anniversary events in this special year, when we aim to help even more women and raise funds to keep our services going for another 10 years.
