Models Rachel Peru and Annie Stirk visited Kyra this week to present a fantastic cheque for more than £2000 to the charity. The money was raised by a fashion show organised by Rachel and Annie which took place at Goldsborough Hall in September. Headlined ‘Silver and Sassy’, the show celebrated older women with silver, white or grey hair as they modelled a variety of clothing from day wear to swimwear. One of the models was Kyra member Heather, and Kyra volunteers helped out with the raffle, which was very generously supported by the audience.

The fashion show featured on local television and in Yorkshire Life, challenging stereotypes about older women with its energy and ‘sass’!

Many thanks to Rachel, Annie and everyone who put huge effort into organising this amazing event, and raising so much money for Kyra after a very difficult fundraising period.
