Crafted items made by Kyra members were on sale at the Sleeper artisan craft market in New Earswick on Sunday. Kyra volunteer Shona had invited the charity to take a stall at the hugely successful market which she and her co-founder have built up from just 6 stalls to 36 stalls over the last year.

Kyra members attending drop-in sessions and members of the craft group had created felted animals and produced a range of crocheted and sewn items, as well as making magnetic peg photo holders, jewellery and a host of other ‘crafty’ items. On a warm Sunday morning, the fair was busy with visitors (and lots of dogs) and we were able to raise very useful funds to put back into our work with women in York.

We have a few felted Vikings and alpacas left – if you would like to buy one of these, email contact@kyra.org.uk
