York Rotary Club’s 19th Dragon Boat Race took place on Sunday on the Ouse in York, and Kyra’s intrepid team of rowers – some of them pictured above – did an amazing job! They finished second in all their heats – beaten only by an army team on two occasions – and were 21st out of 33 teams overall. Their Victorian boating costumes were much admired …

Just as importantly, they have already raised more than £2600 in sponsorship – or over £3000 if you count Gift Aid! They are still hoping for more, so if you could sponsor them for their bravery and beauty, please do so.
