Kyra Women’s Project has been chosen by the York St John’s University cheerleaders as one of the charities they will support in 2021/22. Leah and Chelsea, two of the cheerleaders’ committee members, visited Kyra in August to find out more about what the charity does to support women in York. Chelsea said: “I am so excited to bring the team and Kyra together next season and help to make a difference to so many women.” Leah added: “The team at Kyra have made us feel so welcomed already and we can’t wait as YSJ Cheerleading to support and make a difference to so many women.”

Over the next 12 months, the cheerleaders will be collecting money at events, holding bake sales and packing bags at supermarket as well as attending events such as the Dragon Boat Race and the Yorkshire Marathon to support Kyra’s fundraising.
